Strandhill was the destination for the societies fourth  outing of the year and the midway point of the season. 28 players made the short trip to the favoured links course on what was a fabulous day with plenty of sunshine and a breeze at times  . Congratulations to Niall “you wait ages for a bus then 2 come along” Loftus  who won his second consecutive outing with a good score of 40 points just beating Shane Loftus who came in with 39 points landing him the winners prize for the High Handicap category, Runner up in the category was Kevin Cusack with 37 points. The Low handicap category was won by Padraic Mc Shera with 36 points. The Ladies section prize went to Mary Lynch with another consecutive win with 27 points whilst Patricia Bohan narrowly missing out and taking the runner up prize after a count back. Vincent Mc Morrow won a prize for his 21 points on the front 9 whilst Ray Mc Namara’s 22 points earned  him a prize for the Back 9. Special thanks to the days sponsors  Declan & Kathleen Loftus.
