Saturday 17th June 35 society members made the short trip to the sublime Slieve Russell GC for the 5^th outing of the year. The course was in superb shape with the fairways and greens in excellent condition and blessed with fabulous weather on the day made for a perfect day for golf. Seven handicapper (society) Danny Egan ripped up the course and was the overall winner scoring a fantastic 40 points. Runner up in mens section and winner of the low handicap category was Enda McNamara with 38 points. The high handicap category was a family affair with brothers Cyril and Aiden Mc keon battling it out for the bragging rights, Cyril’s 37 points just beating Aidens’s 36 points for the win. The ladies section saw Kathleen Loftus take home a prize for winning with a very respectable 38 points and was second overall on the day with Breda Travers runner-up  in the ladies category with 33 points. Front 9 was won by Kevin Daly with 21 points and Kevin Cusack taking the back 9 with 18 points.
