June 4th – 6th 2016

Eighteen golfers plus three non-golfers made the journey to Oranmore for the annual mini-trip.  The group stayed in the Oranmore Lodge Hotel and played the Galway Bay Golf course on both the Saturday and Sunday.  The weather was absolutely beautiful with blue skies and high temperatures on both days.  Society Captain Colm Griffin was captain of one team with Arie Elberse the captain of the other.  The result of the competition came down to the last match with Colm coming out on top.

Declan Loftus was the leading scorer in the men’s section and in the ladies Brid Sullivan was the highest scorer. Everyone had a fantastic couple of days and great credit must go to the three ladies who organised the trip, so many thanks to Mary, Breda and Kathleen for all the time and effort they put in.
