Allen Gaels Golf Society’s second outing of 2022 brought us on our annual visit to Esker Hills, Co. Offaly. The course was in great condition after the recent weather and on the day we enjoyed glorious sunshine while attempting to get the better of a very challenging course. All of the members present enjoyed their day’s golf and indeed the presentation of prizes later in Monica’s pub in Drumshanbo.

The overall Outing Winner was Aidan Mc Keon, who captured his 5th AGGS outing win. Men’s Low winner was Enda Mc Namara with Niall Loftus in the runner up spot. In the Men’s High competition, Lorcan Harrison finished second on a countback. Patricia Bohan won the Ladies defeating Breda Travers by 2 points. Paddy Beirne and Dessy Doyle won the front and back 9 prizes respectively.
