Saturday 12th August saw 26 society members take the relatively short trip to Roscommon GC for the seventh and penultimate listed fixture of the season. Weather on the day started off with a grey gloomy looking sky with a slight breeze but soon cleared making way for a good day to play golf on a well kept and old school parkland course, littered with many trees old and new, making society members ‘Old and New’ plan their route from tee to green. Ray McNamara’s planning proved best by scoring 41 points and for his first time became overall Winner. Runner up and winner of the High section was Captain Chris Fahy with 37 points. Ber Hogan won the Low section just beating Padraic Mc Shera 36 points who took second spot in the category. Ladies section saw Marion Fahy collect first prize with 33 points with Carmel Stritch runner-up with 31 points. Front and back nine winners respectively where Vincent Mc Morrow with 20 points and Kevin Cusack with 22 points.
The standard scratches were as follows:
