The first outing for 2014 took place at a very wet and windy Bundoran. The very bad weather of late had put a doubt as to whether the outing would go ahead at all, and this affected the number attending, with a relatively small turnout of 19 hardy golfers taking part. Our new captain Jimmy Egan showed no nerves as he got the year off with an excellent drive down the first.

As the cards were been counted it looked like Jimmy might win, but in the last group Declan Loftus came in with a mammoth score of 44 points, winning by a huge 9 points, one of the largest victories ever in the Society. As agreed at the AGM, the list of prizes has changed slightly from previous years.

The average score of all completed rounds was 28.41 points.
