The long wait for the start of the 2026 golfing year ended as Liam Loftus became the 31st AGGS Captain to get proceedings under way.   There was a very good turnout of 28 golfers.  A very strong wind persisted throughout the whole round and a bout of rain lasting around 45 minutes half way through, made playing extremely challenging.

Scores were naturally affected, but coming out on top (on countback with 2 others) was Colm Loftus with a very good 32 points considering the conditions.  This was Colm’s 14th win with the society (since full records kept in 2005). There was a very good turnout of 28 golfers with the presentation taking place in the clubhouse after the round.
