After the wind, rain and cold of the first outing in Bundoran, we had to endure tough conditions again as we headed to Athlone Golf Club. Thankfully, it stayed mostly dry for the entire round but a very strong breeze was a big test. Winner on the day with a very decent 34 points was Declan Loftus, a ninth win for Declan in the Society and placing him joint third in the list of most career wins.
