Saturday 11^th May was AGGS 2^nd competitive outing for GOY.  Twenty members made the trip to Athlone GC on what was a lovely spring day which meant nobody could use the weather as an excuse for earning points on the championship parkland course, instead it would more likely to be the tree lined fairways and the undulating terrain causing problems and making it a true test of one’s Golf.

Congratulations to Aidan Mc keon who was overall winner on the day with 36 points and making this victory his 4^th outing win. The Low category was won by Captain Padraic MacSheera with 35 points which currently puts him at the top of the GOY leader board, runner up in the same category was Declan Loftus with 33 points. Kevin Daly took the prize for winning the high category with 35 points. The Ladies Category was won on a count back with Breda Travers just pipping Peggy Lynch to the post with their 31 points. Front and back 9 winners where Jimmy Egan, 20 points and Lorcan Harrison, 19 points respectively.
